Description: Houseplants can bring a lot of natural beauty to your home; however, each one can have very different growing needs. In this class, we will discuss general care for houseplants and identify plants that will do best under different conditions in your home. Please feel free to bring one of your houseplants to discuss with the group. This plant that you bring in to share could have an issue and you would like some help, or it could be one that you love and is doing fantastic.

POLLINATOR TREE GIVE AWAY

Location: Fayette County Extension, 140 Stonewall Avenue W., Suite 210, Fayetteville, GA 30214

Date & Time: Friday, February 21, 2024, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Cost: FREE

Description: Join us for our 2025 tree give away! This year we are giving away 1 catalpa tree per family. Catalpa trees are a medium deciduous tree that has beautiful bell-shaped blossoms and large heart shaped leaves. This tree is visited by pollinators and is the host plant for the catalpa sphinx moth. This tree has also been called the fish bait tree as the catalpa sphinx moth caterpillars are good for fishing bait. ?You will need an open space that has full sun with moist but well-draining soils.

Tree quantities are limited and are on a first come, first serve basis. No registration required.

Description: Growing your own vegetables can be a very rewarding experience. Join us for this beginner class to learn the basics of starting a vegetable garden. In this program, we will discuss how to grow vegetables, space requirements, selecting varieties to grow, and how to care for them during the growing season.
