Our Impact

Making A Difference in Our County

海角官方首页 Cooperative Extension is working hard for its constituents. The following are examples of the Extension’s impact on the county over the past year.

The Morgan County Extension office coordinated the Piedmont Quality Hay Contest, sponsored by Pennington Seed, with over 45 entries in four categories from three counties. The Bostwick Gin in Morgan County was responsible for submitting the winning sample for cotton quality grown on a farm of 500 acres or less. Our 4-H Program had 665 youth and 117 volunteers engaged in educational programs that empowered all who participated. A newly created full-time Family And Consumer Sciences Agent position was filled in September 2023 to assist Morgan County citizens with food safety, health, nutrition, and financial literacy needs.
