University of Georgia Extension created Georgia Green Landscape Stewards to teach our clients how to?implement sustainable green practices in their landscape. Georgia landowners have a large impact on natural resources, such as water, wildlife, and native plants. With sustainable land management practices, we can help protect these natural resources for generations to come. Join us at Denmark Library from 7-8pm in September and October to learn more about:

Honey Bee Control and Removal Training
Join us November 18-19, 2025, from 9am-1pm, at our 5110 Piney Grove Road, Cumming, GA,30040 office.?
Forsyth County Extension is offering the Georgia Structural Pest Control Commission approved 8-hour training required to obtain a Honey Bee Control and Removal (HBR) license through two half-day sessions. Attendance at both 4-hour sessions is required to satisfy requirement for the license. Fee:$40

What better way to enjoy the cool fall temperatures than to go for a tree walk with Master Naturalist Volunteers? Join us for a wander around the woods where we'll learn about tree identification, understand their ecological roles, and appreciate the biodiversity in our county.
These walks will take place on sites that are easy to walk and that cover roughly 1 and 1-1/2 miles. Dates, locations, and times are as follows:
- Tuesday Sept. 16th at Windemere Park starting at 5:30pm
- Wednesday Sept. 24th at Haw Creek Park starting at 1:00pm
- Tuesday Sept. 30th at Old Atlanta Park starting at 5:00pm
- Thursday Oct. 2nd at Poole's Mill Park starting at 9:30am
- Wednesday Oct. 8th at Charleston Park starting at 5:00pm
- Thursday Oct. 16th at Fowler Park starting at 9:30am
- Thursday Oct. 23rd at Halcyon leading to the Greenway at 9:30am
