We provide Georgians with free ideas on keeping healthy by making nutritious food choices on a budget. Our outreach includes in-person and online classes, social marketing, and policy, systems, and environment interventions (PSE) across the state.

What is SNAP-Ed?

SNAP-Ed (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education) is the nutrition promotion and obesity prevention component of SNAP.

SNAP is the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (formerly known as Food Stamps). It is part of the U.S. domestic hunger safety net and provides economic benefits to eligible, low-income individuals and families for food purchases.

Program Goal
