4-H Summer Camps
CAMP REGISTRATION IS OPEN!
Over 8,000 children ages 9 and up, accompanied by over 1,000 adult and teen leaders, travel annually to Georgia’s unique 4-H centers for a week of camp that will be remembered and cherished for years to come. Every camp offers adventure, friendship and fun, and all seek to develop the camper’s Head, Heart, Hands and Health to make him or her a better person.
Georgia’s 4-H centers — Burton 4-H Center on Tybee Island, Fortson 4-H Center (Hampton, GA), Rock Eagle 4-H Center (Eatonton, GA) and Wahsega 4-H Center (Dahlonega, GA) —? and Georgia 4-H at Camp Jekyll open their doors to campers looking for an exciting summer experience. Enthusiastic and well-trained camp counselors, University of Georgia Extension employees, and certified volunteers work together to provide campers with unforgettable memories to last a lifetime!
Cost and Payments
Each camp costs $440 per 4-Her.? Camp fees cover lodging, meals, camp t-shirt, 4-H center fees, and transportation for one week. A $75 deposit is required at the time of registration for all camps. The remaining camp balance is due by April 25, 2025. If the balance is not paid in full on time, your child(ren) may lose his/her spot(s), be replaced by another 4-Her, and the deposit may be forfeited. ?However, if Georgia 4-H and 海角官方首页 determine that the camp cannot be held, all registration deposits and fees will be returned in full.
Camp Scholarships
Scholarships are available and are due no later than March 14, 2025. Recipients are responsible for paying the remainder of the cost of camp not covered by the scholarship. ?After scholarships are awarded, the remainder of the camp fee must be paid by April 25, 2025.
The $75 camp deposit must be paid to be considered for a camp scholarship. Submitting a camp scholarship request does not guarantee a spot for camp – campers must also complete the camp registration form in order to reserve their spot at camp.? Registration
Camp registration for?all County 4-H summer camps IS OPEN!? Spaces are limited for ALL camps. Registration is based on a first-come, first-serve basis. The online registration application and deposit of $75 are required to reserve your child's space for camp. Cash, credit/debit cards (no American Express), checks, and money orders are accepted at the County Extension Office.? No phone registrations will be accepted for camp. Cloverleaf Camp (Grades 4-6)
June 16-20, 2025
Come enjoy an amazing adventure on the sacred grounds of Rock Eagle in Eatonton, Georgia.? This camp offers major interest classes such as archery, canoeing, herpetology, lake ecology, and more.? You’ll learn all about Native American heritage and become a member of a tribe.? In addition to fun crafts and nature hikes, you’ll enjoy great entertainment such as movies, dancing, and variety shows.? Our culminating event is on the last evening when all tribes assemble at the pageant grounds for a traditional Native American competition and colorful pageant depicting the legend of Rock Eagle.? You don’t want to miss this wonderful experience!
Junior Camp (Grades 7-8)
June 9-13, 2025
Students who have completed the seventh or eighth grade are given the opportunity to attend Junior Camp. 4-H Camp on Jekyll Island is a week-long experience that includes visits to the beach and many other fun and exciting activities.?
Senior Camp (Grades 9-12)
July 7-11, 2025
Senior Camp’s activities provide learning experiences in all of Georgia 4-H’s focus areas – Healthy Living, Agriculture and STEM, and Civic Engagement – promote the development of leadership skills, and encourage community service, all in a fun and active camping environment.
Senior EXTREME Camp
(Grades 9-12)
June 2-6, 2025
Senior EXTREME Camp is a more primitive camping experience, providing for tent camping, preparation of campers’ own meals, and a focus on outdoor recreational activities, among its activities.
Marine Resource Camp (Grades 7-8)
June 9-13, 2025
Join us for an unforgettable Marine Resource Camp adventure! Explore the beach, search for shark teeth, and learn about the fascinating creatures that call the shore home. Cruise through Georgia’s tidal marshes, spotting dolphins and catching sea life with a trawl net. Visit Tybee Island’s shops, enjoy ice cream, and discover marine animals at the science center. Get hands-on with crabs, snakes, and other critters, then team up to dissect a shark and uncover its secrets. Cool off with ocean swimming, show off your skills in the talent show, and make amazing memories with new friends!
Wilderness Challenge Camp (Grades 6-8)
June 23-27, 2025
Join us for a thrilling week of camp focused on outdoor survival and adventure for the middle school child.? Some of the activities to be included in this camp are whitewater rafting on Tennessee’s Ocoee River, high ropes activities, wall climbing, fire building, campfire cooking, geology creek walks, and so much more.
