4-H Youth Development
Welcome to the Quitman County 4-H website!?4-H is the world's largest youth organization for young people. Youth ages seven to nineteen may join. 4-H teaches service, leadership, citizenship, and character education as well as providing students with a variety of in-school and out-of-school educational opportunities involving head, heart, hands, and health.
Founded in 1904 to educate rural farm youth, today's 4-H reaches youth from all walks of life helping youth to develop their interests and abilities to their fullest through project work, club work, special activities and events.
4-H is the Youth Education Program of the University of Georgia.?It is administered by 海角官方首页 Extension which is part of the 海角官方首页 College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (CAES). Quitman County is a cooperating partner.
4-H is open to all youth regardless of race, color, sex, handicap, or national origin.
